Colin joined the 7DC team in the fall of 2015 and has since acquired a long roster of students due to his love of teaching and his general passion for music. Colin focuses on helping each student find their own voice and develop it, knowing that it makes the distinction between good and great musicians. He encourages his students to think outside the box, escape their comfort zones and approach their respective instruments in new and innovative ways. In addition to drums, Colin also teaches piano, bass, guitar, and music production. You can find him at 7DrumCity on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
From 2011-2018 Colin worked extensively with Indie-Pop band Young Rapids, embarking on several national tours, as well as recording in countless studio sessions. He currently performs with Pop/Rock bands Bottled Up (keyboards), Tuff Lover (drums), and Halpine (drums).
Since 2019, Colin has been composing and producing original musical scores for film and television. In the spring of 2022 he began a collaboration with the Film and Media Studies Department at Georgetown University as an in-house composer and guest speaker, and in the fall of 2022, he began a part-time teaching position with the Holton Arms School.
