Hailing from the DMV, Massimo specializes in Bass performance and Audio Production. With a decade of experience, he's become a fixture in the local music scene, anchoring various bands and acting as a versatile session musician. His current lineup includes Cinema Hearts, Dinosaurus, Abby Rasheed and the Sundry Collective, and David Stevenson, in which he has graced popular DMV venues and extended his reach to international stages like Sled Island Fest in Calgary, AB, Canada.
Massimo holds a BM in Music Technology from George Mason University, where he studied under Prof. Regan Brough U.S. Army Blues Band and Dr. Darden Purcell, refining his skills in Bass and Voice respectively. Beyond his studies, he was deeply involved in teaching privately and operating his own On-Location Recording business.
Inspired by his college journey, Massimo's teaching approach centers on infusing theory and musicianship through the lens of students' musical interests. He's a firm believer in music as a living and breathing community, where collaboration and connection is what drives everyone to continue performing and enjoying the art they love.
