Week 1 — The Songwriter's Toolkit: Traditional and experimental methods for finding your voice.
Week 2 — Lyric Writing & Clarity: Crafting lyrics with emotional weight and clarity.
Week 3 — Melody & Phrasing: Writing melodies that actually serve the lyric.
Week 4 — Song Structure: Verses, choruses, bridges, and how to arrange them.
Week 5 — Workshop Day 1: Bring an in-progress song for group feedback and coaching.
Week 6 — Crafting the Hook: Building the moment that makes a song land and stick.
Week 7 — Workshop Day 2 & Final Prep: Second round of feedback and preparation for the share.
Week 8 — Final Share: Everyone performs the song they've built through the course.

About the Instructor

Andrew Grossman is a veteran singer/songwriter and bandleader of The North Country. With over 25 years of experience performing at premier venues like 9:30 Club and Black Cat, Andrew brings a wealth of professional insight into both the art and the craft of songwriting.
