On Jan 10th, Flashband is lighting up Union Stage with 2010s bops! Get ready to party rock and raise your glass with covers of the best of the 2010s –– the decade of indie sleaze, tumblrcore, and Rebecca Black. Dance and sing along with eight all-new Flashbands performing lit hits by dozens of your faves including The Weeknd, Carly Rae Jepsen, LMFAO, Lorde, Mitski, Robyn, Paramore, The Black Keys, Daft Punk, PSY and more. Musicians: Meet fellow hobbyists & play a rock show!
Proudly hosted by 7DrumCity, Flashband® has had a huge impact on the DMV music scene and the 7DC community! Flashband puts on 7-8 themed showcases a year at killer venues all around DC. For each new show, local hobbyist musicians sign up for a spot in the Meet & Greet Jam, form a one-time band, and perform in a one-time showcase 1-month later. Since its birth in 2012, over 80 showcases have been hosted featuring over 3K musicians, with many groups emerging from Flashband to become your new favorite local bands! 7DrumCity acquired Flashband® in May 2017 and proudly carrying the torch and continuing the tradition ever since.
