"Night of the Living Dead" Flashband Showcase!
Get out your zombie apocalypse kit, because Flashband is bringing back your favorite artists from beyond the grave! With the spooky season just around the corner, we're featuring eight all-new Flashbands covering immortal jams by beloved artists from the beyond. Yep, it’s 100% songs by 100% dead people, because legends never die! It’s all going down at Pearl Street Warehouse on Saturday, November 2nd. So start practicing your ghost notes and turn up the phantom power, and mark your calendars for the registration drop this Thursday between 12-2pm!
Filming with WETA: All participants in this cycle of Flashband will need to sign release waivers as we are filming a segment with WETA Arts. If you are not able or comfortable to sign such releases, please do not sign up for this showcase.... and we'll hope to catch you soon!

Flashband is about to get spicy with a Hot Singles Showcase! On Sept. 21st – aka National Singles Day! – eight all-new Flashbands will be covering Billboard chart-topping singles from the ‘60s through today! The showcase will feature singles that peaked at #1 by artists who dominated the airwaves across pop genres, like Mariah Carey, Madonna, The Beatles, TLC, Tiffany, Rihanna, Steve Miller Band, Kelly Clarkson, Boyz II Men, Savage Garden, and all the rest. And you better believe that a singles showcase will be one helluva theme party.... Grab your tickets and mark your calendars!

Here's the Skinny: Flashband puts on 6-8 themed showcases a year at killer venues all around DC. For each new theme that gets announced, local hobbyist musicians can sign up for a spot to participate in the Meet & Greet Jam, form a one-time band, and perform in the showcase 1-month later. Sign up for our 7DC newsletter and follow us on IG at @flashband_dc to be in the know about upcoming opportunities and info about Flashband. If you're a newer musician, we also encourage you to check out 7DC's Monthly Open House Jams and Open Mic to get a feel for collaborating and performing! Proudly hosted by 7DrumCity: Flashband® has had a huge impact on the music scene in DC, especially for the 7DC community! Since its birth in 2012, over 70 showcases have been hosted, and many of your fave local bands have emerged from the Flashband® community! In May 2017, 7DrumCity acquired Flashband®. We're psyched to be carrying the torch and continuing the tradition! (Also, we are legally required to put this annoying ® symbol after any instance of Flashband® because Flashband® is a registered trademark... At least nobody can stop us now!!)
