Taisha Estrada is a multi-genre singer, songwriter and bandleader. She creates and performs regularly as a part of 3 local bands: her self-titled project, post-punk band Outerloop and neo soul & jazz band Attic Sessions. Her musical projects have been featured in the Washington Post and NPR’s Tiny Desk show, and she has headlined at such venues as the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, Blues Alley, Strathmore's AMP, Songbyrd and Union Stage.
Taisha graduated from George Mason University in 2020 with a degree in music and a minor in jazz studies. She has been teaching music since 2018, and brings the same passion she brings to the stage to her private lessons. She is an experienced instructor of voice, songwriting, guitar and piano, and has had the pleasure of working as producer for her former student, Elizabeth Lane, in the release of her first EP.
As someone with experience recording albums, producing records and booking local shows, Taisha enjoys getting to share her knowledge about creating a musical project, and looks forward to not only helping people learn how to play, but also navigate the musical world to whatever extent they choose. When she isn’t teaching or playing, you can catch her watching puppy videos on Instagram, practicing yoga and attending local shows!
